100 Happy Days!!! – Day 10

There are only very few people who help us without any expectations..I am talking about strangers here and  not about family members or friends..I am so happy that I experienced such a help from a person whom I have met for first time today!!

I live in a rented house and my house owner also resides in same building…I was enjoying and watching rain from my balcony..All of a sudden, I heard some sound from my kitchen..I was shocked when I saw that water was leaking out from tap in kitchen sink and I couldn’t close the water tap!!! I tried a lot, but water flow didn’t stop as tap became loose!!! I called up plumber and he said that it might take some time for him to reach my place as it was raining heavily..

I kept a bucket in kitchen sink and water was flowing in high speed..Not knowing what to do, I went to my owner’s house..Both owner and owner’s wife were not in house and only an elderly person opened the door!!! He introduced himself as owner’s father and he said that he lives in a village and had come to visit his son..He added that owner had gone out and would be back only at night..

I didn’t want to disturb him and so started to leave the place..But he probed me for details..When I told him, he said he would help me and came to my house..

Believe me or not, he was there with me trying to close the pipe for more than 3 hours!!! He is around 78 years old but still it didn’t stop him from helping me!!Both of us couldn’t close the tap, but he didn’t stop trying…Finally plumber came and fixed a new water tap!!

When I thanked that elderly gentleman for his help, he said this is not a big help and he couldn’t leave me alone struggling with this issue..He left only after checking the new tap fixed by plumber..

I am so grateful  that inspite of  he being a total stranger,he helped me a lot..I could feel his genuine intention in solving my problem.

I am happy that I met this gentleman today who is so selfless, very kind and who helps others without any expectations.
